I have enjoyed being a part of Quakertown Family Medical for over eight years. Prior to coming here, I practiced at Valley Medical Center in Pennsburg for 9 years. After working at Lehigh Valley Hospital as a cancer registrar, I decided to go back to school at King’s College 2 years after losing my husband to cystic fibrosis. I was very inspired by the care he received, and realized the importance of education in battling any disease. I feel his doctors empowered us to make the best decisions by educating us well and allowing us to be part of the process of care. I try to incorporate this philosophy as I work with patients.
I have since remarried and have two children whom I homeschool. As a family, we are very active with our church and recently were able to do a mission trip to Guatemala. I recently learned to snowboard with my daughter, and enjoy waterskiing and wakesurfing as well.
I have found my work as a physician assistant to be very fulfilling. It gives me a great opportunity to improve the quality of life for my patients.
